Abstract
The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method in Hindu Religion subjects is an innovative and effective approach to improve student learning outcomes. PBL emphasizes solving problems that are relevant to students' daily lives, so that it can increase their involvement and motivation in learning. In the context of Hindu Religion education, PBL can help students understand religious concepts more deeply and applicatively. Overall, the application of the Problem Based Learning method in Hindu Religion subjects shows great potential to improve student learning outcomes. By integrating PBL principles, such as collaboration, problem solving, and the use of relevant media, Hindu Religion learning can be more interesting and effective. Existing studies show that PBL not only improves students' academic understanding, but also helps them develop social and character skills that are important in everyday life. Overall, the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method has been proven effective in improving student learning outcomes in various disciplines and levels of education. Existing studies show that PBL not only improves conceptual understanding but also critical thinking skills, collaboration, and students' motivation to learn. Therefore, PBL can be considered as a very relevant and effective method to improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kapuas Tengah in the subject of Hindu Religious Education in the Odd Semester of 2024/2025
