Abstract
Adolescence is a transitional phase between childhood and adulthood. During this period, the character of adolescents tends to be influenced by the environment around them, especially when they are in their high school environment. Leadership is basically a behavior that influences individuals and groups in an effort to carry out their duties and responsibilities efficiently. Good cooperation is needed to achieve the desired organizational goals. In the Hindu context, leadership has a close relationship with ethics. Because the importance of forming the character of Hindu leadership in adolescence so that they can pass their teenage years well is through character building. Various methods can be used in fostering the character of Hindu youth, including through Dharmawcana. The purpose of this paper is to describe community service activities for developing the character of Hindu youth, especially students at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada. The method used in this community service is the provision of Dharmawacana with material on Asta Brata, which refers to the eight main teachings about leadership which are likened to the traits possessed by the gods. Apart from that, the relevant teaching is Tri Kaya Parisudha, which refers to three aspects (thoughts, words and deeds) that must be kept pure. With the implementation of this community service, it is hoped that Hindu youth, especially students at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada, can give birth to leaders who are spiritually intelligent and able to apply religious values and spirituality in their daily lives.
