Abstract

Teacher professionalism is a condition, direction, value, purpose and quality of expertise and authority in the field of education and teaching related to a person's work as a livelihood. Professional teachers themselves are qualified, competent teachers, and teachers who are desired to bring learning achievement and are able to influence the student's learning and teaching process, which will later result in better student learning achievement. The teacher competencies studied include four categories. First, the teacher's ability to plan a teaching and learning program, Second, the teacher's ability to master the subject matter, Third, the teacher's ability to implement and lead/manage the teaching and learning process and Fourth, the ability to assess the progress of the teaching and learning process. Learning achievement is the learning outcome achieved after going through the teaching and learning process. Student learning achievement can be shown in the form of grades given by the teacher in the form of report cards which are the results of several fields of study that have been studied by students.
